Gardens and Green


Take a visit to the the Wilkes University campus and you'll find a wide variety trees and flowers from the Katrina Rose (planted from a surviving rose bush from Katrina) to native trees such as Dogwood, Red Cedar, Copper Beach and Fringe trees. The campus also features a bluestone labyrinth which is often used as a meditation tool as well a Franklin tree which is aptly named after Benjamin Franklin. Over 250 trees and shrubs were planted on campus by Patty Gilmour, wife of former President Tim Gilmour.
