Life-Career Planning Class, Spring 2017
Wednesdays, 12:00 - 12:50 p.m.
CRN 10885, 1 credit

This class is for juniors and seniors only.  Class topics will include resumes, cover letters, graduate school application, mock interviewing with professionals; business etiquette; "marketing" your skills to human resource professionals; "Reality 101 Job Searches," and class presentations from a variety of professionals.  SEATS ARE AVAILABLE!  This is the class seniors stated on course evaluations, "should be mandatory!

Spring 2017 Wilkes Career Fair

This event will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at University Center on Main.  It is an opportunity for all students, from first year to seniors, to meet with social service, government, healthcare and business representatives for employment, volunteer or internship information.

Intern & Career Fair

The recent Intern & Career Fair held in October was a huge success! 294 Wilkes students had the opportunity to meet with 52 companies offering internships, volunteer, full-time or part-time positions in various concentrations.

Connecting The Dots

The Wilkes University Alumni Association & Career Services invited students, from first year to seniors, to hear about how successful alumni  transitioned from Wilkes students to professionals.

Alumni participants included a wide variety of professionals coming to campus to speak to them about their careers.
Students gained excellent connections, career development ideas, and experiential opportunities as they used a  "speed network" with varied alums and alumni mentors.

Business Career Day

Business Career Day is  held at Wilkes University Jay S. Sidhu School of Business & Leadership.

Students are offered the opportunity to learn about varied businesses and meet Human Resource panelists and employers.  Date TBD.

Dining Etiquette Luncheon

Attendees were given the opportunity to enhance their professional etiquette skills while enjoying a free lunch during this special event. Students reviewed and learned about professional business interactions and dining etiquette, offered by a corporate expert in order to be prepared for those professional lunch interviews and dinners with the boss!
