Undergraduate Scholarships

If you qualify for multiple awards, great! Most Wilkes scholarships can be used in conjunction with each other.

Award amounts range from a full scholarship to 60% of tuition cost, after federal and state aid.

  • All State Academic status:  100% of tuition costs
  • First Team designation or a PTK officer: 80% of tuition costs
  • Second Team designation: 60% of tuition costs

Qualifications:

  • Be a PTK member
  • Participate in a transfer credit evaluation
  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Have an associate degree or equivalent credits

Renewal criteria:

  • Continued eligibility for undergraduate upperclassmen who maintain adequate academic process
  • Continuous full-time enrollment (fall and spring semesters)

Wilkes is committed to making quality education more affordable to our future business leaders. That's why we're offer the Arizona Leaders Scholarship exclusively to students in Mesa and the greater Phoenix area.

Details:

  • Maximum $5,000 per year
  • Limit of 30 awards

Qualifications:

  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Participate in a transfer credit evaluation
  • Be a full-time student seeking a first bachelor's degree
  • Have an associate's degree or equivalent credits earned

Renewal criteria:

  • Scholarship is renewable for one additional year for a total of two years of award
  • Must maintain adequate academic progress and continuous full-time enrollment
  • Must actively participate in at least two service or leadership activities per year

Mesa residents are eligible to apply for up to four, $5,000 annual awards.

Qualifications:

  • Be a transfer student
  • Be a city of Mesa resident
  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Be a full-time student seeking a first bachelor's degree

Renewal criteria:

  • Scholarship is renewable for one additional year for a total of two years of award
  • Must maintain adequate academic progress and continuous full-time enrollment

Students who transfer from any of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges are eligible for a $1,900 transfer scholarship.

Qualifications:

  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Participate in a transfer credit evaluation
  • Have an associate's degree or equivalent credits
  • Be a full-time transfer student from Maricopa Community Colleges

Renewal criteria:

  • Continued eligibility for undergraduate upperclassmen who maintain adequate academic progress
  • Continuous full-time enrollment (fall and spring semesters)

Students who transfer to Wilkes from Mesa Community College can be awarded a $1,000 honors scholarship. Up to five awards are granted each year.

Qualifications:

  • Be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
  • Participate in a transfer credit evaluation
  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Have an associate's degree or equivalent credits
  • Be a full-time transfer student from Mesa Community College

Renewal criteria:

  • Continued eligibility for undergraduate upperclassmen who maintain adequate academic progress
  • Continuous full-time enrollment (fall and spring semesters)

Alumni of the ACE program who have graduated from one of the Maricopa Community Colleges can qualify for a $1,000 award.

Qualifications:

  • Be an alumni of ACE
  • Participate in a transfer credit evaluation
  • Meet all Wilkes admissions requirements
  • Have an associate's degree earned from one of the Maricopa Community Colleges

Renewal criteria:

  • Continued eligibility for undergraduate upperclassmen who maintain adequate academic process
  • Continuous full-time enrollment (fall and spring semesters)

Undergraduate Loans

We understand that even with our competitive scholarships, you may need additional help. Below is information on a variety of loan options for students seeking their bachelor's degree.

Federal Direct Stafford Loan & Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan

Qualifications:

Recommended filing deadline:

  • Six to eight weeks prior to need

Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)

Qualifications:

Recommended filing deadline:

  • Apply on or after July 1 for the aid year OR six to eight weeks prior to need for loan funds

Federal College Work-Study Program

Qualifications:

Recommended filing deadline:

  • Prior to beginning work on campus
