We stress personal independence at Wilkes,
but we also stress personal responsibility.

A liberal arts education teaches students to look at the world as a whole, to begin making connections between things like interpersonal conflict and international relations, between education and poverty, between thinking about themselves to thinking about the "me in context."

As members of the Wilkes family, we encourage students to participate in community service.

Every year, Wilkes students contribute more than 29,000 hours of service in 100 local agencies and programs. 

Giving of your time and energy is a great way to gain perspective and learn something about life.
