WILKES-BARRE, PA. (Nov. 26, 2012) – High school students and their families are invited to a Financial Aid Night at the Wilkes University Pocono Center on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
At 6 p.m., Wilkes officials will discuss financial aid and paying for college. Topics include financial preparedness, applying for financial aid, and helpful information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Attendees are encouraged to bring their “estimated family contribution” information. Families can calculate their EFC with an online calculator found at http://webapps01.act.org/fane/docs/.
Admissions counselors will offer “instant decisions” for students who submit completed applications, official high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores between 5 and 6 p.m. that night at the Pocono Center. From 7 to 8:30 p.m., admissions staff will meet individually with families to provide admissions decisions and financial aid consultations.
The Wilkes University Pocono Center is located at the Shoppes at Crossroads, State Route 611 in Bartonsville.
