WILKES-BARRE, PA. (April 9, 2013) – Wilkes University’s Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will host its annual car show on April 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 130 cars will be exhibited in the show, and proceeds from the event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. The show will be held in the Wilkes University Henry Student Center parking lot, located at 84 W. South Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
More than 50 awards and giveaways will be given in specific categories including: pre-1972 domestics, 1973-1998 domestics, 1999-present domestics, best trucks, tuners and imports, and more.
The Wounded Warrior Project is an organization that honors and empowers wounded service men and women. The principle purposes of the Wounded Warrior Project are raising awareness and enlisting the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, helping injured service members aid and assist each other, and providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
The rain date for the event will be April 28.
