University Environment Initiative

Institute members Marleen Troy and Ned Fetcher used the Clean Air-Cool Planet Campus Carbon Calculator to model Wilkes University’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Emissions are reported in Metric Tons Carbon Dioxide Equivalents (MTeCO₂).  A detailed report is available. Highlights

• On an annual basis (FY 2006 – 2008), Wilkes University emitted an average of 18,222 MTeCO₂.

•   Emissions per full-time student for the past 3 fiscal years (FY 2006 – 2008) have been consistent at approximately 5.4 MTeCO₂.
