Specific State Licenses
According to the type of business, one or more of the licenses or permits listed through this link may be necessary for legal operation. Violation of requirements can lead to penalties, financial setbacks, or even business closings.

Preparing A Business Plan
When starting a business, planning ahead may be one of the keys to your success. A business plan enables you to evaluate the viability of a new business and plan the steps to reach your goals. If financing is required to begin business, a business plan is a must.

2. Although the licenses and forms listed above are important when starting a new business, they are not the only issues that need to be addressed at a start-up. You must also consider the arious business structures and what each has to offer, how much capital you will need to get yourself started, how you plan to attract customers to your business, and which location is suitable for your business. The SBDC is here to provide you with information on these issues to help you make informed decisions. In order to provide you with this information in the most timely manner possible, the SBDC offers start-up sessions once every other week. The sessions cover the issues mentioned above and provide you with information to get you started on your own business plan and financial package. To register for one of these sessions, or to find out more about what the SBDC has to offer, please contact our office or EMAIL us.
