Sara Pritchard -- Short Story Writer, Novelist.
Sara Pritchard is the author of the novel-in-stories, Crackpots, which won the Bakeless Prize for Fiction in 2002, and was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and the linked-story collection, Lately (2007). Her new story collection, Help Wanted: Female, will be published by Etruscan Press in June 2013. Sara’s stories and creative nonfiction have been published in numerous literary magazines, including Green Mountains Review, Tusculum Review, Arts & Letters, Northwest Review, Chattahoochee Review, Bellingham Review, Spittoon, and New Letters. Her story "Two Studies in Entropy" won the New Letters Alexander Cappon Award for Fiction and the Readers’ Choice Award in 2008, and a Pushcart Prize in 2009. She was the Thornton Writer-in-Residence at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, during the Fall 2012 semester. Sara has a degree in English from Susquehanna University and an MFA in fiction from West Virginia University. She lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, with her husband, Kevin Oderman.
