Criteria for Selecting Graduate Assistants

1. Regular admission to the program or current student with good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher)

2. Students admitted under Conditional Classification may apply for an assistantship after completion of nine semester hours of graduate credit with a cumulative average of 3.0 or higher.

3. Completion of Graduate Assistant on-line process

4. Ability and willingness to perform duties outlined in job posting and assigned by the Director/Department Chair of the respective program.

Integrative Media + Art Department  + Art Studio Graduate Assistant:

The Art Studio Graduate Assistant serves as a facilities greeter and administrative support to the studio art faculty, staff and students. The role includes welcoming visitors to the facility, studio support, general organization, and other administrative tasks. Reliability, professionalism, strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.  Prior experiences in studio arts are an asset.  Studio art courses at Wilkes University are composed of painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and core art courses.
