The National Weather Service will be conducting a Winter SKYWARN (weather spotters) training class on the campus of Wilkes University.
This class is for beginners or anybody that has a general interest in weather. This class trains volunteers about winter storms and what to report to the National Weather Service, relating to snow, ice, rain and flooding observations. The class is free and open to everyone; no age requirements, previous training, or equipment is required.
WHAT: Winter SKYWARN (weather spotters) Training Class
WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 29 • 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m
WHERE: Stark Learning Center, Room 101 (DIRECTIONS)
COST: FREE and open to the public
