The Way Things Work.
Wilkes' Engineering graduates step up successfully to demanding and in-demand engineering positions in industry. As engineering students, surely they worked hard, but most had other college involvements -- athletics, student government, second majors, or co-operative education experience.

We want our students to succeed and become leaders in their fields.
Our classes are small (including labs) and are taught by experts -- not by graduate students.

We offer degrees in Applied and Engineering Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Management, and Mechanical Engineering. You may not be ready to narrow your engineering field right away (They all sound very exciting.), or you may change your direction after you complete several courses. That's OK. Students have three full semesters to explore all engineering disciplines before finalizing a major.

Did you know?
Wilkes Engineers place well with national and multi-national industries and organizations such as 3M, Air Products, Fairchild Semiconductor, Gentex, Lockheed Martin, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Northrup-Grumman, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Lockheed-Martin, PP&L, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft, and RFMD.

Wilkes has an excellent co-operative education program with industry. Students gain extensive engineering experience while earning good salaries during junior year. And they can graduate on time!

Our Vision is...
to be recognized as the finest small engineering program in Pennsylvania.

Our Mission for engineering students is...
to enable the professional development of their abilities for analysis and design within the context of environment.

The Wilkes view emphasizes engineering as a creative, hands-on profession with leadership responsibilities. Teamwork, ethics, and professional communications permeate the educational experience to enhance each graduate's technical problem-solving ability.

Wilkes Engineering graduates will possess the vision, confidence, and conviction to pursue and assume increasing responsibilities in engineering and leadership throughout their careers.

While a Wilkes engineering student...
We will help you develop a mental discipline for critical thinking. When you graduate from Wilkes you will look for the next problem to solve -- an attribute that will provide you with extensive career flexibility and start you on your way to becoming a leader.
