Wilkes University’sDoctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Instructional Leadership is a doctoral program for international school leaders and educators. This specialization is designed specifically for international educators, with courses that address the unique challenges faced in the field. The Ed.D. requires 60 post-master’s credits, including 9 credits of dissertation.
Wilkes University partners with international schools to offer the Ed.D. program to their faculty and staff. It’s held in a hybrid, or blended format, combining online learning and face-to-face classes. Face-to-face classes are taught in your area and potentially right at your school – no extensive travel required for coursework completion. Travel is anticipated during the dissertation defense.
The Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership is
held in a cohort format – peer groups start and participate in the program together;
conducted in a convenient hybrid format (with face-to-face classes in your location);
delivered in English and appropriate for English speaking international and American applicants;
designed for International Baccalaureate and private international schools, where English is used as the primary delivery language;
Participants will require access to high speed internet for associated coursework and communications.
