A School of Pharmacy student receives her hood the night before Spring commencement.
Nesbitt College of Pharmacy and Nursing Dean, Dr. Bernard W. Graham, (RIGHT) assists a new graduate during the hooding ceremony.
The School of Pharmacy holds a formal hooding ceremony the night before spring commencement. Students are required to attend in full graduation regalia. The Assistant Dean announces each student as they process up to the stage, shares a few words about them such as hometown, fraternal or professional organizations, graduation honors, awards, and employment/residency prospects.
The Dean and advisor “hood” each student individually and photos are taken. A complimentary champagne reception is held at the conclusion of the ceremony. This is a wonderful event recognizing the accomplishments and dedication of each pharmacy graduate.
