May 8, 2013 - Project update:

Much technical work has been going on behind the scenes since the commencement of this project in January.  At this time, the new hosted environments have been built and we’ve almost completed our first round of end-user testing.  Testing has been underway for nearly two weeks and we recognize all of the effort that has been put forth by staff in the administrative offices that will make the final stage of this important University project successful.

 

We are excited to have hit this milestone in our project plan and look forward to the next round of testing, which will begin in mid-May.  We greatly appreciate both the dedication of the participants as well as the patience of the community which collectively will ensure the timely completion of the project and a smooth transition into our hosted environment on July 5th.

  • Transition mission critical administrative and communications systems currently managed from the campus Data Center to a secure, remote facility designed specifically to provide optimal environmental and redundancy conditions and protections from natural disasters or other events that would otherwise impact system access and availability
