Wilkes U Orientation 2014This year represents a major turning point in your life—your first year of college. While you are busy preparing for the next chapter in your life, the Wilkes University Orientation Team is eagerly awaiting your arrival and preparing a fantastic Orientation experience!

Orientation is a vital part of your college experience. This summer, you will set foot on campus for the first time as a Wilkes University Colonel! There will be opportunities to meet other classmates in small groups and with your academic advisor, as well as to learn about campus services and activities. Of course, there will also be a lot of time for fun!

Sunday (June 29th, July 13th)
8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Registration, Henry Student Center
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Meet Your Mentor, Assigned Residence Hall
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Small Group Meeting with Advisors, Rooms will be provided.
11:30 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. Individual Advisor Appointments, Rooms will be provided.
12:50 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Welcome Address, Henry Gymnasium, Arnaud C. Marts Center
12:50 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Small Group Meeting with Advisors, Rooms will be provided.
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Individual Advisor Appointments, Rooms will be provided.
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Resident Student Meeting, Stark Learning Center – Room 101
OR Commuter Student Meeting, Breiseth Hall – Room 107
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Individual Advisor Appointments, Rooms will be provided.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Computer Technology Session*, Stark Learning Center – Room 101

*Please note that attendance at ONE of the Computer Technology Sessions is required.
All students (resident and commuter) will be required to stay overnight in University Housing.

*Please note that Wilkes ID Card photos will be taken throughout the 2 days of Orientation.

Every year, students, staff and faculty participate in community service throughout the area. Learn more about some of the locations and projects the Wilkes University Colonels have contributed to during Orientation.

Registration for Orientation Session will be held in the Henry Student Center (Building #27). Please use parking lots #8, #9 and #13. Please refer to the campus map. Meter parking is also available on the streets surrounding the Wilkes University campus.

Housing is not provided for parents/guardians, family members, or guests during the orientation sessions. Here are some suggested places to stay near Wilkes University.

Are you going to be living on campus in the Fall? The Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC) has partnered with Residence Hall Linens to provide our students with a convenient, affordable way to purchase extra-long sheets and bedding items. Proceeds from this program go to the Inter-Residence Hall Council and are used for programming in the residence halls. Please visit the RHL website for more information!
