Description

Wilkes University invites applicants for a Program Coordinator in the Graduate Education Department. This position is primarily responsible for programs that fall under the LSI/National Institute for Professional Practice umbrella as they function within the Graduate Education Department. The position will serve as the primary liaison to LSI and will coordinate marketing, program development, implementation, and general oversight of associated programs and development of new programs in the area of literacy. Curriculum monitoring, on-line course development and monitoring, and student and program assessment are key components of the position as a means of continuous program improvement. The program coordinator also supports the full needs of students including recruiting, advising, and graduation audits.

The successful candidate is responsible for the oversight of marketing, assessment & overall operations of the Master’s Programs under his/her purview. The program coordinator works with various offices in the University including Graduate Education, Student Services, Marketing, College Technology, etc. The program coordinator also serves as the primary advisor to students in the programs. A reading specialist certificate and a master’s degree in education or related field is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in literacy, on-line course delivery, technology integration, and teacher effectiveness with some administrative background. The salary is competitive.
