Dr. Barbara Bellucci is an assistant professor...
who has taught courses in both the undergraduate Education Program and the Graduate Teacher Education Program. She has been awarded the Outstanding Part-time Faculty Award as well as the Outstanding Faculty Distinction Award. She has been active on the Library, Graduate and Teacher Education Committees.
She developed the Instructional Technology Master's degree program. She also co-developed and coordinated the original Educational Development and Strategies Master's degree program at Wilkes. She has taught in doctoral programs for both Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Instructional Technology, working with Cooperating Teachers and Student Teachers, and with Adult or Nontraditional Learners. As Director of Student Teaching, Dr. Bellucci mentors students for the Praxis examinations, which are required for graduates to become licensed teachers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is the Wilkes University Title II Liaison for the National Report Card.

Transition to Teaching Conference for regional student teachers. This has become an annual event, sponsored by the Northeastern PA Association for Curriculum & Development. The purpose of the conference is to let aspiring teachers know the process for getting a teaching position and what school districts expect from their beginning teachers.
The conference panelists, regional school administrators who actually participate in the hiring for their districts, discuss the qualities they are seeking in hiring new teachers. They also discuss the role of the beginning teacher, induction, No Child Left Behind, and other important issues for new teachers.

from Temple University, where she was awarded the Phi Delta Gamma Sarah Leeds Miller Award for "outstanding academic achievement, service to the community, and personal accomplishment." She has the distinction of having completed two Master's degrees in Education after receiving her doctorate.
