Biography

     Marianne M. Rexer, Ph.D., CPA is a Professor of Accounting in the J. Sidhu School of Business and Leadership.  She previously taught at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island and practiced public accounting in Boston, MA with a national firm.  Dr. Rexer actually comes back to Wilkes University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  She followed that degree with a MS in Taxation from Bryant University, and a Ph.D., in Accounting from Drexel University.

     A widely published author of papers and articles on auditing and teaching methods, Dr. Rexer brings to Wilkes a wealth of teaching and professional experience.  Her public accounting experience in auditing allowed her to concentrate in health care and real estate while developing the skills necessary to train future auditors.  Research in auditing and teaching methods was a natural evolution and Dr. Rexer has since authored articles and books on auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, health care auditing, and online teaching.

    Currently, Dr. Rexer teaches courses in Integrated Management Experience, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Auditing, Advanced Managerial Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems.
