May 30 May 30, 2024: Founders Gala Wilkes University’s 2024 Founders Gala, benefiting the First Generation Scholarship Fund, will be held at the Westmoreland Club. This year, the recipients of the President's Medal will be awarded to Harry '51 & the late Beverly (Bev) '58 Hiscox, who have been part of the Wilkes community since the 1950’s when he studied economics and she was in the education department. Bev served for years as a trustee of Wilkes, eventually becoming trustee emerita, and also served as president of the Wilkes Alumni Association. Anthony (Tony) DaRe '00 will be awarded the Chairperson's Award. Tony graduated from Wilkes with a degree in business administration. He is the founder and CEO of BSI Corporate Benefits (BSI). Alumni Ireland Trip Green, sheep, breathtaking, charming, amazing and fun- just a few words to describe our alumni trip to Ireland in March! We had a sold out group of alumni that travelled across the Atlantic and canvassed the country, stopping in places such as Dublin, Rock of Cashel, Blarney Stone, Tralee, Ennis, Dingle Peninsula, and Kingscourt. It was a trip to remember! Our 2025 travel plans will be announced soon and we will share more details in an upcoming informational session happening on July 18!
