Dr. Harold Cox Hall is home to Wilkes University’s graduate Creative Writing program, a low-residency M.A. and M.F.A. program that combines online learning with face-to-face residencies.
During residencies, students engage in a week of writing while sharing ideas with their peers, participating in readings, and conferring with members of the program’s faculty and advisory board.
Dr. Harold Cox Hall is also home to Etruscan Press, a non-profit literary press working to produce and promote books that nurture the dialogue among genres, cultures and voices. Named a finalist for the 2015 AWP Small Press Publisher Award, Etruscan publishes book of poems, novels, short stories, creative nonfiction, criticism, translation and anthologies. Etruscan offers both Creative Writing graduate students and undergraduate students internships in all aspects of the publishing world.
SenArt Films also maintains a field office in Dr. Harold Cox Hall. SenArt is an independent
film company that has produced feature films and documentaries including Kids For Cash, The Station Agent, Bonneville, Fog of War, The War Tapes and Stevie. SenArt’s home base is in New York City.
