Weckesser Annex is currently home to faculty offices for Wilkes University Graduate Education Program.
If you were at Wilkes after 1956, you might have been curious about or perhaps attended
classes in the "mini castle" behind Weckesser Hall.
A stone driveway that runs under an elaborate "carport" along the north side of the main house leads to the Annex, which originally served as a garage and servant quarters for the Weckesser family.
Built of the same blue limestone as the main house, the Annex has a somewhat unique feature -- a turntable set into its concrete floor. This amenity was a favorite of Mrs. Weckesser because it turned her car so she never had to back out of the garage!
