What does it mean to be a Colonel?
- Volunteering for new projects
- Developing new initiatives
- Looking for new ways to improve processes
- Helping students
- Helping colleagues
- Resolving issues
- Providing support for others
- Or just doing a great job
In other words, “Being Colonel” can happen in your day-to-day work efforts. USAC is proud to launch the formal “Caught Being Colonel” recognition program to thank, reward, acknowledge and commend staff for going above and beyond the call of duty. Here is how it works:
Supervisors have been provided with Colonel Credits, which are a one-time use cards good for a meal at Henry’s; a meal equivalency at Grille Works, Which Wich or P.O.D.; or a purchase at Starbucks (up to $5). Employees who are “Caught Being Colonel” may be rewarded with the gift card which is good for 90 days. In addition, Aramark will return all redeemed gift cards to USAC so employees can be entered into a monthly prize drawing. And, stay tuned, because the USAC will also be sharing the names of all employees who were “Caught Being Colonel” in monthly announcements in Today@Wilkes.
