The Nursing Student Organization (NSO) is a campus based organization for undergraduate students interested in a career in nursing.
The NSO serves as a forum for nursing students to serve the community, socialize, and involve themselves in political processes.
All nursing majors are required to hold membership in the professional organizations. National Student Nurses Association (NSNA), Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) and the Nursing Student Organization (NSO) at Wilkes – which is a chapter of the NSNA. A membership drive is conducted at the beginning of each academic year.
Each class elects officers to the NSO. These officers may serve as delegates at state and national conventions representing Wilkes University’s Passan School of Nursing.
