Wilkes University alumnus Ray Klimek examines landscapes and objects through a variety of shifting scales. His earlier work consists primarily of industrial landscapes of Pennsylvania and South Wales. More recent pieces employ shifts of scale to suggest landscape imagery buried within everyday objects. CC is a series of scans of Carbon Paper blown up magnified and cropped to suggest landscapes in their own right while also depicting one type of technology with the technology that has largely replaced it. He has continued to explore this line of inquiry by incorporating the written word within my images along with exploring the combination of old and new technologies of reproduction.
