Markeata L. White
- (570) 408-4895
Markeata was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She bleeds red and blue like a true Coughlin Crusader. Education is important to her, and sharing the gift (because she believes it is a gift) of education makes her feel purpose.
After a four-year hiatus from college, Markeata came to Wilkes University in 2013 as a first- generation transfer student studying communications. She claimed her degree in 2016. She believes claiming a degree is more rewarding because it was already hers, she simply had to go get it, rather than receive it. In October 2016, she started working at Wilkes University in Admissions.
