Welcome to Residence Life's Housing Selection webpage. Below you will find all the information you need to choose your on-campus housing arrangements for the 2018-2019 academic year! If you have any questions about the information below, please contact the Residence Life office at (570) 408-4350.

ALL CURRENT FIRST YEAR STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT COMMUTING ARE REQUIRED TO LIVE ON CAMPUS FOR THEIR SECOND YEAR AT WILKES. IF THESE STUDENTS DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN SELECTION, THEY WILL BE PLACED MANUALLY AFTER SELECTION HAS CONCLUDED.

Step 1: Complete Your Housing Application

In order to select housing accommodations for the 2018-2019 academic year, you will need to complete a housing application. This application will require you to affirm the 2018-2019 Housing & Dining Contract. You can find an electronic copy of that by clicking the button below. In addition, once you complete the application, you will receive a copy sent to your Wilkes University email address.

Please follow these step-by-step instructions on how to complete your housing contract.
1. Log on to the Wilkes Portal.
2. Click on the Student Services tab.
3. Scroll down to the Housing & Dining Channel.
4. Click on My On Campus Housing & Dining.
5. On the new screen, click on the Application tab on the top menu bar.
6. Click on the Returning Student Housing Application (Fall 2018).

7. Follow the flow of the application, starting with an electronic signature and completing all questions.
8. When your application is complete, click Submit. You should receive an email confirmation. Save this email in the event there is an issue with your application!

Step 2: Create Roommate Group (Optional)

If you are interested in selecting housing with several of your fellow students, you will need to create a roommate group before the deadline of April 17, 2018. When housing selection times roll around, you will only be able to see housing options that fit your group's size. If you are a group of three, for example, you will only triple rooms in mansion-style housing or UT apartments will be available for you to select. If you are a single individual, you will only be able to see singles or double/triples in a mansion; apartments in UT, for example, will not be available to select for an individual.

Please follow these step-by-step instructions on how to create a roommate group.
1. Log on to the MyWilkes Portal.
2. Click on the Student Services tab.
3. Scroll down to the Housing & Dining Channel.
4. Click on My On Campus Housing & Dining.
5. On the new screen, click on the Room Selection tab on the top menu bar, then click Roommates/Suitemates.
6. Search for your desired roommate(s) with a simple First Name/Last Name and email address search.
Repeat these steps for all desired roommates.

All requests will be sent via email to your fellow students. Requests will need to be accepted in order for the roommate group to be formed. Make sure that you check back to your housing portal to ensure your roommate requests have been accepted. All roommate groups must be finalized on or before April 17, 2018!

Step 3: Think About your Desired Housing

Take some time to think about where you would like to live next year. This will help speed up your selection process when it actually comes time to choose your housing. For the 2018-2019 Academic Year, these are the types of housing options available and the halls in which they are available. Below, you will also find instructions on how to use our online portal to choose your housing assignment for next year.

WHEN CHOOSING HOUSING, YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SEE OPTIONS THAT REFLECT YOUR ROOMMATE GROUP. A ROOMMATE GROUP OF THREE (3) WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SEE TRIPLE ROOMS AND TRIPLE APARTMENTS. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELECT A HOUSING OPTION THAT DOES NOT REFLECT YOUR GROUP SIZE.

1 Apartment contains kitchen, living, and sleeping quarters in one room with a private, attached bathroom for each unit.
2 Bedrooms are furnished with a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, and closet for each resident. Living room furniture is not provided.

Step 4: Choose your Housing Assignment

Once you have thought about where you'd like to live next academic year, you will wait for an assigned selection time. Please refer to the different housing selection options below to see what day you will be selecting housing.

April 19 - Homesteading: Same Hall, Same Room Selection
This housing selection time will be specifically for folks who have indicated their interest in remaining in their current housing assignment. Selection time will be open during club hours, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - no assigned times will be necessary for this selection. Folks are required to fill a space and all members of a group must currently be assigned to a space to choose that space for next year. Not available for first year halls (i.e. Catlin, Doane, Evans, Pearsall, Roth, Sturdevant, & Waller)

April 19 - Homesteading: Same Hall, Different Room Selection
This housing selection will be specifically for folks who have indicated their interest in remaining in their current hall but want to choose a different room. Selection Times will be assigned between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and will be announced the morning of April 19. Please make sure someone from your group is available to choose housing during this time. All members of your group must be in the same hall in order to participate in this housing selection. Not available for first year halls (i.e. Catlin, Doane, Evans, Pearsall, Roth, Sturdevant, & Waller)

April 24 - Honors Hall Selection
This Housing Selection time will be specifically for first-year and returning honors students who wish to live in Michelini Hall for the 2018-2019 academic year. Selection times will be assigned between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

April 25 - General Housing Selection (Apartments)
This is for all other students interested in living in any of our apartments on campus for the 2018-2019 academic year. Groups will only be able to see and choose apartments that match their group size (i.e. a group of four will only be able to see four-person apartments, a group of two will only be able to see double apartments, etc.). Only matched-roommate groups will be added to this process. Selection times will be between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

April 26 - General Housing Selection (Residence Halls)
This is for all other students interested in living in any of our residence halls/mansions on campus for the 2018-2019 academic year. All folks that do not have a matched roommate group will be added to this selection process. Selection times will be between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
