Michael Reagan, Son of Former President and Best-Selling Author, Delivers Kirby Lecture Oct. 7 at Wilkes University

Michael Reagan, Son of Former President and Best-Selling AuthorMichael Reagan, son of the late President Ronald Reagan and best-selling author, delivers the Allan P. Kirby Lecture in Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Reagan speaks at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center on Wilkes University’s campus. His topic will be “Know Your Audience.” The event is free and open to the public.

Reagan serves as chairman and president of The Reagan Legacy Foundation, which seeks to advance the causes President Reagan held dear and to memorialize the accomplishments of his presidency. He has appeared as a guest and commentator on the Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, and is a frequent Fox News contributor. 

Reagan has written many best-selling books, including “The New Reagan Revolution: How Ronald Reagan’s Principles Can Restore America’s Greatness,” “On the Outside Looking In,” “Twice Adopted” and “The Common Sense of an Uncommon Man: The Wit, Wisdom, and Eternal Optimism of Ronald Reagan.” 

Reagan spent almost 20 years as a daily syndicated talk show host airing across the country for Premiere Radio Networks. He left that position to travel the country to champion his father’s legacy of conservative principles. 

Reagan also is an avid powerboat racer, setting world records and also raising money for charity. Reagan’s powerboat racing has raised more than $1.5 million for different charities such as, the United States Olympic Team, Cystic Fibrosis, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and the Statue of Liberty Restoration Fund. He is also involved in many other charities including The John Douglas French Alzheimer’s Foundation and The Young America’s Foundation. 

The Allan P. Kirby Center Lecture Series brings leading voices in free enterprise and entrepreneurship to the Wilkes University campus and Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Center hosts two annual lectures. Open to students and the community, these forums give insight into the creative process and drive of the entrepreneur.
