of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) coursework for accounting professionals in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our Accounting Seminars offer a wide array of topics to keep you up-to-date on current tax law and satisfy PA licensing requirements for continuing education.

* This seminar will run from 8 AM-5 PM.  The fee of $145 includes lunch.  Pre-registration is required.  Registration deadline is October 27, 2017. 
** The morning session will be held from 8 AM-Noon.  The afternoon session will be held from 1-5 PM.  Participants may register for one or both sessions.  Lunch will be on your own.
 
Annual Federal Tax Refresher Course
The Annual Federal Tax Refresher Course is part of the voluntary Annual Filing Season Certificate offered by the IRS for non-credentialed preparers.  Participants must attend the 6 hour course and complete an online test with a minimum grade of 70%.  The test will be 100 questions and must be completed within 3 hours.

Finding Wealth in Heirlooms for Financial Plans has been approved by the CFP® Board for 4 hours for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™.

To register for the classes, you may go to our registration system by following the links throughwilkes.augusoft.net  There is now an “Accounting CPE Home Study” category where the classes are located.  Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with login instructions.

To receive full credit for the class, you must view each video segment and answer the polling questions.  You do not have to answer the polling questions correctly.  However, you must receive a 70% or better on the final exam to receive credit.  If you score below a 70%, you may take the exam again after an hour.  You can take the exam as often as you need to until you pass, waiting an hour in-between each attempt.  Once you pass the final, you may complete the course evaluation and print your certificate.

In Person
Seminars are held at The Woodlands Inn & Resort, Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre. Most seminars run on Thursdays from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Cost: $55 per person; $50 Early Bird Discount (registration and payment must be received by the close of day of the Monday prior to the seminar.) Registrations may be made by telephone, mail or fax. Payment by check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) will be accepted. 

Live Group Webinars

Participate from anywhere with our online accounting seminars. 
Classes are broadcast live from the Wilkes University campus.  To test you system requirements for the webinars, please go to systemcheck.digitalsamba.com/ .  You only have to pass the tests for the United States.  These seminars are reported as live, group study.

Home Study Programs
Earn CPE hours at your convenience with our home study programs.  The live webinars are recorded and available as seminars that you access where and when you want.

Cancellations
Credit will be given for a seminar in the same fiscal year if the cancellation is received 24 hours prior to the seminar.

Wilkes is accredited by thePennsylvania State Board of Accountancy (PX-000676-L) and The State of New Jersey Board of Accountancy (as an accredited university).

Wilkes University is registered with the National  Association  of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA provider #127179) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
