Teresa Fallon is Director of Theatre at Wilkes University for the Theatre Arts and Musical Theatre Programs. She is also Scenic Designer, teaching painting and design classes including Historic Scenic Styles, Scene Design and Scene Painting.
With a BA in Philosophy from the University of Scranton, she entered the MA program for Scenic Design at Syracuse University. She continued study in NYC in Decorative Painting at the Isabel O’Neil Studio for the Painted Finish. As part of her MFA in Visual Arts at Marywood University, she studied Art History at Harvard University. Upon graduation she was awarded the Ruane Medal for Art.
As a theatre artist, her numerous professional credits include work at Syracuse Stage, Wilma Theatre in Philadelphia, Circle-in-the-Square in NYC, Studio Theatre in Washington D.C. and The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca NY where she was honored with the Tom Neiderkorn Award. Working free-lance and also from her own scenic studio, Teresa has designed and painted for theatre, ballet, nightclubs and television on projects ranging from The Kingston Trio Concert Tour to Off-Broadway.
Teresa directed her original plays The Pied Piper and Le Revue Fairy Tale, both of which received awards from The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. She was also honored by KCACTF with the Region II Faculty Design Award for her scenery for Philip Barry’s play Hotel Universe. Recent shows she has directed as well as designed include Brenda Bly Teen Detective, Dracula and Adding Machine A Musical.
