Design Your Future with a B.F.A. in Digital Design and Media Art
If you are a serious art student, a bachelor of fine arts degree is the highest standard professional college degree among undergraduate art and design programs that you can earn. The B.F.A. in Digital Design and Media Art will set you apart from other design school graduates, and Wilkes is the only school in the region offering this sought-after degree.
As a student in the B.F.A. program, you’ll receive personalized attention from highly qualified faculty with industry expertise. The degree requires an art minor and focuses about two-thirds of your coursework in studio art and digital design. You’ll also gain hands-on, practical experience through internship opportunities and Studio 20, our student-operated design club serving campus and community clients. With your combination of course work and hands-on creative time, your B.F.A. will show employers in the industry that you’re dedicated to your craft.
As a requirement of the B.F.A., you’ll need to submit a portfolio illustrating your best work, including print, digital pieces and a short essay.
If you have any questions about portfolio submission or the B.F.A. program, please contact program coordinator Heather Sincavage at firstname.lastname@example.org or 570-408-3365.
