Why Study Management at Wilkes?

The management program at Wilkes will equip you with the skills to excel as a leader in operations management, human resources, sustainability management and more. You will develop communication, critical thinking and leadership skills inside and outside the classroom. Your first year will involve collaborating with your peers to conceptualize, design and operate your own business in the Integrative Management Experience course, and you will leave the program with hands-on internship experiences in the field.

What Will You Learn as a Management Student?

  • You’ll gain a working knowledge of organizational and leadership concepts in management, including staffing, operations planning, directing commercial operations and ethical decision making.
  • You’ll develop critical thinking, persuasive communication and teamwork in collaborative experiences, skills necessary to succeed in executive and managerial positions.
  • You’ll learn to synthesize fundamentals of finance, accounting, business law, marketing, economics and management to make effective decisions at a corporate level.

Start building management and leadership experience in your first year during the Integrated Management Experience course, where you’ll collaborate with your peers to conceptualize, design and operate your own business.

Facilities

The Sidhu School of Business and Leadership is housed in the beautiful 80,000-square-foot Simms Center on Main. The $3 million state-of-the-art facility includes the Cardell Financial Center, which connects students to the finance world with state-of-the-art technology that provides real-time data and news. Located on the second floor of the Simms Center, the center features multiple Bloomberg trading terminals for student use.
