Advance your knowledge and expertise in working with gifted and talented students. Learn how to meet their academic, social and emotional needs while raising awareness on how to identify these students within your district. Upon successful completion, you can apply to have the Gifted Letter of Endorsement added to your existing teaching certificate by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Courses are developed to align with guidelines provided by the Council for Exceptional Children, the National Association for Gifted Children and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Credits can be applied to certain master's degree programs and towards Act 48 requirements.
Field experiences
Complete the program in as little as two semesters while learning online. 30 hours of field experiences (.pdf) are required. These experiences take place at a school near you – no travel to campus required.

Admissions requirements
You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. In addition, please submit:

- Official transcripts
- One recommendation (.pdf)
- A copy of Pennsylvania Level I or II teaching certificate
