Advance Your Career
If you’re a licensed practical nurse who wants to advance your career and grow your earning potential, Wilkes University’s Passan School of Nursing may have the cure.
At Wilkes, we value the skills and knowledge you’ve gained as an LPN. As a student in our LPN to BSN program, you will have the opportunity to challenge up to five specific nursing courses by successfully completing examinations and the National League for Nursing (NLN) Mobility Examinations. These examinations are used to help you make the transition from LPN to RN and put you on track to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
With the comprehensive curriculum provided by the Passan School of Nursing, your real-world experience and a BSN, you will have a greater number of career options and the skills to provide a higher level of care to your patients.
Students who come from an accredited institution can test out of certain courses. The Nursing department will work with the student to arrange testing for NLN mobility examinations. Those exams include:
- Nutrition
- Fundamentals of Nursing
- Mental Health
- Obstetrics
- Pediatrics
Students are given two attempts to obtain a passing score as determined by the Passan School of Nursing.
