Ambassadors
The Social Media Ambassador team is made up of creative students who help share life at Wilkes through an authentic student lens. From hosting tiny mic interviews and capturing behind-the-scenes moments to creating content for official university channels, ambassadors give our community a real-time look at what it means to be a Colonel.
They represent a variety of majors, backgrounds and interests—but all share a love for storytelling, campus spirit and connecting with others.

Social Media Policies
In order to set a standard of quality for social media platforms, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
Respect copyright and disclosure law
Copyright laws are set in place for a reason. Not only does breaking copyright reflect poorly on yourself, it will also create a negative feeling towards the association with the University. Be original and creative and make sure you cite any material that you do not have ownership over.
Think before you speak
We encourage communicating via message boards, blogging and the vast array of mediums that are available today. Remember that access to your posts or comments are far reaching and could very well reflect on the University. Do not post anything that is questionable.
As a general rule of thumb, if you're not sure if it's a good idea, it's probably not
- Be aware of your association with Wilkes University
- Be respectful
- Not everyone will agree with everything you say. No matter what, be respectful of your audience and the information you are providing. If you are expressing opinions, make it clear that it is YOUR opinion and not that of the University.
- Social networks must not promote activities that are illegal or that violate the rights of others.
