Getting on Route 309 North

From New England and Catskills of New York

Take Interstate 84 West to Interstate 81 South to Exit 170B (Route 309 North). Continue on Route 309 North.

From Harrisburg or York, Pa.

Take Interstate 81 North to Exit 170B (Route 309 North). Continue on Route 309 North.

From Maryland, Virginia and points south

Take Interstate 81 North to Exit 170B (Route 309 North).

From Long Island, New York City and northern New Jersey

Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 277. At the traffic light, proceed straight and take the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 476) North to Exit 105 (Bear Creek/Wilkes-Barre). Turn left onto Route 115 North, which becomes Route 309 North.

From Allentown, Philadelphia, Pa., and southern New Jersey

Take the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 476) to Exit 105 (Bear Creek/Wilkes-Barre). Turn left onto Route 115 North, which becomes Route 309 North.

From Williamsport, State College, PA, and points west

Take Interstate 80 East to Interstate 81 North (Exit 260). Take Exit 170B onto Route 309 North.

From Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport

Take Interstate 81 South to Exit 170B onto Route 309 North.

From Scranton, PA.; Binghamton, N.Y.; and points north

Take Interstate 81 South to Exit 170B onto Route 309 North.

From Route 309 North

Take Exit 3 and turn left at the traffic light onto River Street. Wilkes University is located about two miles south.

Parking for Graduate Admissions in Breiseth Hall
Continue on River Street to 236 S. River St external website. The entrance to the Henry Student Center parking lot will be on the left. Graduate admissions is located on the lower level of Breiseth Hall, 137-159 S. Franklin St. For assistance, please call 570-408-4235.

Ralston Athletic Complex

(Football, Soccer, Field Hockey, Tennis, Baseball)

The Ralston Athletic Complex is located just across the river at 302 Northampton St., Edwardsville external website. Continue on River Street to the seventh traffic light. Turn right onto the Market Street Bridge. Get into the left lane and make the first left turn after the bridge. Follow the curved road, which leads into a parking lot, but turn right before you get to the lot. Turn left into the Wilkes parking lot, which is just before the railroad overpass.

The Marts Sports & Conference Center

(Wrestling, Basketball)

The Marts Center is located at 274 S. Franklin St. external website Continue on River Street to Ross Street. Turn left onto Ross Street and drive one block to Franklin Street. Turn left onto Franklin Street. The Marts Center will be on the right. Entrance to a parking lot is just past the gym on the left side of the street.

Wilkes University Parking Garage

(Open House Parking)

The parking garage is located at 148 S. Main St. external website Continue on River Street to South Street. Turn left and drive two blocks to Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street. The parking garage entrance will be on the right.
