College of Science and Engineering

Our best teacher? Experience.

Wilkes University’s College of Science and Engineering programs combine small class sizes with advanced research and unparalleled hands-on learning opportunities.

Highlights

Faculty

Work one-on-one with expert faculty in cutting-edge fields such as surgical robotics, nanotechnology and microfluidics. You'll gain real-world experience in areas including natural gas exploration and monitoring, flood control and air and water quality and writing computer code.

Research

Larger schools reserve research opportunities for postgraduates only. Not Wilkes. You'll be engaged in hands-on research, many times from the freshman year onward. Whether in the lab or in the field, you'll work closely with professors and fellow students. You could also have the opportunity to travel and present your findings at conferences, even to have your research published.

more about research At Wilkes

Facilities

The Mark Engineering Center equips Wilkes engineering students with the tools and facilities needed to solve real-world challenges of the 21st century. The Cohen Science Center provides four floors of cutting-edge laboratories designed for interdisciplinary research and study. Twenty-eight teaching laboratories and eight research laboratories enhance the opportunities Wilkes students have for hands-on learning.
