USAC proudly runs two staff recognition programs to acknowledge, thank and reward staff who go above and beyond contributing to Wilkes University.

- Or just doing a great job!
In other words, “Being Colonel” can happen in your day-to-day work efforts. USAC is proud to launch the formal “Caught Being Colonel” recognition program to thank, reward, acknowledge and commend staff for going above and beyond the call of duty. Here is how it works:
Supervisors have been provided with Colonel Credits, which are a one-time use cards good for a meal at Henry’s; a meal equivalency at Grille Works, Which Wich or P.O.D.; or a purchase at Starbucks (up to $5). mployees who are “Caught Being Colonel” may be rewarded with the gift card which is good for 90 days. In addition, Aramark will return all redeemed gift cards to USAC so employees can be entered into a monthly prize drawing. And, stay tuned, because the USAC will also be sharing the names of all employees who were “Caught Being Colonel” periodically in Today@Wilkes.
Recognize a Colonel colleague and reward their hard work and dedication to Wilkes University! The “Quarterly Colonel Award” program is designed to recognize staff who exceedingly contribute to the University/Departmental initiatives or special projects that significantly impact:
- Student Centered Improvements
- Customer Service
- Innovation
- Productivity/Efficiency
- Expense Reduction
- Cost Savings
- Kindness, Generosity and Gratitude
USAC will recognize up to two quarterly award winners who will receive a paid day off and an award presented by the President. The winners’ names and contributions will be announced and highlighted in University-wide communications.
