About the Advisory Board
The Office of Experiential Education partners with a large number of pharmacist preceptors to help deliver an important part of the Pharm.D. curriculum. We value our relationships with preceptors, and have developed a Preceptor Advisory Board to enhance the link between the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and our preceptors. Board members were appointed in 2019 and will serve a three-year term with the option of one additional consecutive term. Board members who are unable to complete their term will have a replacement appointed at the discretion of the Director of Experiential Programs. Board meetings are generally held twice a year.
Major Functions
- Providing guidance on key experiential issues and tasks the school faces.
- Providing input and feedback on specific APPE and IPPE projects and assignments, and related learning objectives, as well as the experiential program as a whole.
- Serving as liaisons between preceptors and the School for preceptors reaching out to them as board members.
- Bringing relevant practice and professional issues forward to the Office of Experiential Education.
If you wish to connect with a Board member please email kristina.powers@wilkes.edu for contact information.
